We use hypnosis
as a way of teaching our clients to relax and also to deal
with such everyday problems as stress management and chronic
pain. Additionally, we feel that hypnosis can be an excellent
way of helping clients get in touch with their own unconscious
processes. These are just some of the simpler uses of hypnosis.
Beyond this, hypnosis can serve a much broader function, a
more spiritual function. For most of us, the world can be
a fairly daunting place. Life teaches us hard lessons, and
often we develop the belief that we can't expect a lot
of good things to happen to us. Every painful experience we
encounter gradually reinforces the perception that life is
hard and good things happen mostly to other people. This perspective
can lead to a depressed state, an internal emptiness, the
feeling of spiritual disconnection, and a persistent restlessness.
Hypnosis can help facilitate a personal internal journey,
helping access the deepest parts of the subconscious to help
discover inner strengths, develop talents, and enhance the
quality of life. It can help us wake up to who we truly are,
and this is the primary goal toward which we strive at Free
Spirit. |
